1. Information We Collect
Analytics We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data. This includes:
- Screens viewed and features used (e.g., card readings started, history opened)
- General app lifecycle events (e.g., app started)
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
No personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) is collected through analytics.
Advertising We use Google AdMob to show rewarded ads. Google may collect and process data in accordance with its own privacy policy, including device identifiers and advertising IDs, to serve and measure ads.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Your reading history (cards drawn, questions asked, interpretations) is stored locally on your device only using the device's secure storage. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is not accessible to us.
You can delete all saved readings at any time from within the app.
3. How We Use the Information
- To understand how the app is used and improve the user experience
- To display rewarded advertisements that support the free version of the app
- To detect issues and bugs through aggregated usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
The app integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob (advertising) – policies.google.com/privacy
- PostHog (analytics) – posthog.com/privacy
Google AdMob may use the Advertising ID of your device (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) to show relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
5. Children's Privacy
Lenormand Oracle is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
6. Data Retention
Analytics data collected by PostHog is retained for up to 12 months in aggregated, anonymized form. Reading history stored on-device persists until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Opt out of personalized ads: Go to your device Settings → Privacy → Advertising and enable "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android).
- Delete local data: Use the "Clear History" option inside the app, or uninstall the app.
- Analytics opt-out: Contact us and we will provide a device-level opt-out.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the app. Reading data is stored exclusively on-device and never transmitted. Analytics data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
